Please read these terms carefully before using our service.

Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Narrative Pro ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Narrative Pro platform at narrativepro.app (the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms referenced herein. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Service.

Description of Service

Narrative Pro is an AI-powered career narrative platform that helps professionals create, store, and deploy career stories and resumes. The Service operates through the following components:

  • AI Processing (Anthropic Claude) — Processes your input to generate professional narrative statements, quality grades, and structured career content
  • Data Storage (Supabase) — Securely stores your account information, narratives, resumes, and conversation history
  • Payment Processing (Stripe) — Handles all payment transactions and billing
  • Web Hosting (Netlify) — Delivers the website and manages user access

Service Provider Terms

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Content you submit will be processed by Anthropic's Claude AI system to generate narratives
  • Your data will be stored and managed through Supabase's secure infrastructure
  • Payment information is processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's Terms of Service
  • Each service provider maintains their own security and privacy measures
  • Service availability depends on the functioning of all providers

User Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old (or 13 in jurisdictions where permitted) to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Not create multiple accounts for the same person

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit false, misleading, or fabricated career information intended to defraud employers
  • Submit content containing Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, protected health information, or passwords for other services
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or other harmful material
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our permission
  • Violate any intellectual property rights of others
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without authorization

User Content Rights and AI Processing

Your content, your rights. You retain all ownership rights to the career content you create and submit through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

AI-generated content. Narratives, grades, and other content generated by the AI are provided as tools to assist you. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content is provided for informational and drafting purposes only
  • AI output may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or biases
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing all AI-generated content before using it in any professional context (employment applications, performance reviews, LinkedIn profiles, etc.)
  • We make no representations about the suitability, accuracy, or completeness of AI-generated content for any specific purpose
  • Quality grades (A–F) are advisory assessments and should not be the sole basis for professional decisions

No model training. We do not use your personal career content to train or fine-tune AI models. We may use aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve the Service.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user-submitted content), features, functionality, design, code, trademarks, and branding are owned by Narrative Pro and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

Subscription and Payment Terms

By subscribing to a paid plan:

  • You agree to pay all fees according to your selected plan at the prices listed at the time of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method on file for recurring payments
  • Price changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle, with advance notice
  • All fees are in US dollars and exclusive of applicable taxes
  • Failed payment attempts may result in temporary suspension of paid features

Free trial: Paid plans include a 4-day trial period. You will not be charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be billed.

Refund Policy

If you are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a refund within 30 days of your initial subscription payment. Refund requests should be sent to support@narrative-pro.com. Pro-rated refunds may be available for annual plans cancelled mid-term. Refunds are not available for usage-based charges already consumed. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Termination and Account Deletion

By you: You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your access to paid features will continue until the end of the current billing period.

By us: We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or at our sole discretion.

Data upon termination: When your account is deleted, your personal data will be removed from our primary systems within 30 days. You may export your narratives and resumes before deleting your account. Some data may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 30 additional days, and payment records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by law.

The following sections survive termination: Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Disclaimer of Warranties, Indemnification, Dispute Resolution, and Governing Law.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.

Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; (b) AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, reliable, or suitable for any particular purpose; (c) the Service will meet your specific requirements; or (d) defects in the Service will be corrected. You use the Service and rely on AI-generated content at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Narrative Pro and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: (a) your use of or inability to use the Service; (b) any AI-generated content; (c) unauthorized access to or alteration of your data; or (d) any third-party conduct on the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Narrative Pro and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) content you submit, post, or transmit through the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights; or (e) any misuse of AI-generated content.

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution: Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support@narrative-pro.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Binding Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in the United States and may be conducted remotely. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.

Class Action Waiver: You agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of the arbitration and class action waiver provisions by sending written notice to legal@narrative-pro.com within 30 days of creating your account.

Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to provide uninterrupted service but cannot guarantee 100% availability. Service performance depends on our infrastructure providers. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes that materially affect functionality.

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of war or terrorism, epidemics, government actions, power failures, internet or telecommunications failures, third-party service provider outages, or cyberattacks.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict of law principles. For any disputes not subject to arbitration, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the federal and state courts located in the United States.

General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Narrative Pro regarding the Service, superseding any prior agreements.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.
  • Electronic Communications: By using the Service, you consent to receive communications from us electronically, including emails and in-app notifications. You agree that all agreements, notices, and disclosures provided electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by email and by posting the updated Terms at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of modified Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
